Berlusconi & Italy’s Splat!

My prediction last year of Berlusconi’s fall in Italy came true, he resigned. His car was chased yesterday through the streets of Rome by an angry mob, who felt they have been betrayed by the corruption Italy suffers at the hands of its political Mafia and the country’s endless crooked systems.

Berlusconi has been replaced by a man called Monti,

Mario Monti describing something private!

….Monti has said if Italy can’t borrow money in the bond markets ‘cos it so broke, he’ll raid bank deposits.’ If you have money in an Italian bank I’d get it out today—short sharp, on the hurry up, quick-time, pronto!

In a vision I saw a python at the Vatican (see next entry here), so I’d say we have arrived at the Monti-Python era in Italy.

Italy can’t go straight, it’s not in their culture, so it will collapse in flips ‘n’ flops and little drops as the Grand Lies come home to roost and as the Ministry of Silly Walks takes charge. (Stuart Wilde)

P.S. Italian bank UniCredit SpA (UCG), Italy’s biggest, posted a surprise 10.6 billion-euro ($14.5 billion) loss in the third quarter, the biggest in the company’s history, amid trading losses and write downs on acquisitions. The stock slid as much as 9.6 percent.
