Pensions and the Stock Exchange

Stuart Wilde

September 02, 2006

Pensions invested in stocks are vulnerable as stocks pay little or no dividends and when you subtract income tax and three percent inflation, stocks intrinsically make a loss. The whole concept relies on the idea that there is a bigger fool up ahead that will pay more for your stocks than you did. But this market is old and tired and you may well be the ‘bigger fool up ahead’ without realizing it.

The situation in the Middle East is very dangerous and if the Jews, with or without the Americans, hit Iran, the dreams of the baby boomers will sadly pop like a soap bubble bursting. Iran will retaliate by disrupting global oil supplies, and perhaps they will bomb Israel with germs and the stock exchanges will take a dive.

I said a long time ago that the rulers of Saudi Arabia are very self-indulgent and evil and they have only a very short shelf life; they are bound to fall. Militant Islam will eat their falafel. When the sheiks fall the oil fields will be in the hands of anti-American, anti-Israel forces. Meanwhile, our pal ‘Shove-Eggs’, the slightly nutty pressy of Venezuela, is busy offering America an oily middle-finger salute; he’s selling more and more of his oil to China, who have agreed to build 40,000 home for the poor in Venezuela. My thinking is that ‘Shove-Eggs’ will be in power for quite some time to come.

If you sell your stocks early you might lose out on a nice profit if the market is calm and if it rises over the next few years. But right now your comfortable retirement trolling around Arizona in your RV is in the hands of half a dozen belligerent psychopaths in Tel Aviv, Washington, London and Tehran. It’s like having Hitler as your stockbroker and financial advisor.

Six months ago the Internet was rife with conspiracy theories that said the Zionists, in collusion with the American Christian right, were going to nuke Huston in November 2006, and blame it on brother Bin and the alchemical Qaida, thus heralding the final takeover of America and its few remaining liberties.

It all sounded very unlikely to me, but recently CNN, which is the official voice of the Jews and the neo cons, started running stories on how brother Bin wants to nuke America and wipe out ten million people. According the Christian Ammanpoor, who seems to have sold her soul a bit too cheaply, brother Bin is in a cave with a mobile phone someplace in northern Afghanistan down loading scary ring tones like, “She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes…”

My worry is that CNN are softening up America for an up-coming disaster be it a nuke or not. Meanwhile if the nutters in Israel bomb Iran, we’ll be eating our breakfast sitting in the fast lane of the San Diego freeway, the kiddies will be running around bouncing a ball off the crash barrier, and granny will chewing on dry toast oiling the chain on her bike.

The spiritual solution is the only solution our psychopathic leaders will not consider but it is the only solution that will work. We need love, forgiveness and peace - a simple recipe that offers the world a bit of hope.

I don’t have a pension but I don’t have any stocks either. My thinking is discuss it with your advisors perhaps it’s better to forgo a possible profit in later years for more safety now. If your money is on deposit with a reputable bank you can sleep properly. And don’t buy your RV ‘til the market crashes. And scrub your ideas for a holiday time-share in Tehran, just in case.

It’s a crapshoot right now and the way to stay safe is to vote with your feet and take to spiritual ways. I like Huston, the people there have always been very sweet to me, my vote goes to Detroit I don’t think we’d miss it much. Then again, my outright Number One choice is Naples, but there is no political gain in nuking Naples, nobody likes the Neapolitans anyway, people wouldn’t see it as a loss.

My idea is to give brother Bin the Nobel Peace Prize, as he is a master at leaving little pieces here and little pieces over there. It’s such a bloody shame he hasn’t heard of the Neapolitans I want my hubcaps back.
