Bats in the Belfry Stuart Wilde June 27th 2004 |

Sometimes I make a detour to visit cathedrals and churches.
I like the spiritual vibe and the art and the silence. Sometimes there
are ghouls in the bell towers. They look like black mist, a dark swirling
fog. I try to bump them out by whacking 'em with a green laser. Sometimes
it works sometimes it doesn't. If the ghouls know you are watching them
they get scared and freeze and so for a moment or two you lose them
in the darkness of the tower, but they can't stay still for long and
so after a short while they start to move again. When they move you
can see them easily. They control the building corrupting the thoughts and prayers of the faithful. A church should have a great column of shimmering light descending upon it, yet they don't. It's a disappointment to people; their prayers go astray. Everything people do to reach god is corrupted on the way out, or the person's feelings are so jumbled up and turned around nothing much ever works, it's most frustrating. Still, things are on the mend. I visited Salisbury cathedral, in England recently, the stained-glass windows are very beautiful. It has a remnant of the Magna Carta there on view. That is the charter signed by King John in 1215 whereby human rights were guaranteed to citizens. The principals of the Magna Carta are written into British and American law. The document guarantees that a person is innocent until proven guilty and it prohibits holding people without trial. I have said before that our current leaders will become the most hated people in history; they will be blamed for bringing down the western, capitalist system. Meanwhile, they have given up on the Magna Carta and human rights and they seek to fashion a totalitarian state, enacted by manipulating news and events to create racism, anger and fear. It's a shame a laser can't get rid of these dingbats, Bush, and Little Boy Blair, and cruel, vicious men like Bumsfelt and Plonker Plunett, but it might cheer you up to know none last, they all go down, and their successors won't last long either. But in the meantime sadly, the global fascist state will imposed upon us. This is the final struggle between light and dark, and while there may be set backs, within nine years the situation will be very different. The bats in the belfry won't last. Bat Lady has arrived. It's heartening to note people are on the move selling up and moving to safer places, away from large urban conurbations, especially in America where people are heavily armed. France becomes like a Third World country, which will be very sad because France is one of the only places left where gentility and the fine things of life are still held in high regard. I have nothing but the deepest respect for la belle France, she is truly beautiful and she doesn't deserve her fate. Unfortunately her systems falter eventually and she is swamped by refugees and immigration problems. © Stuart Wilde 2004 www.stuartwilde.com |
